1/2 Quilt work

Sometimes past me has grand plans for future me. In January Hobby Lobby was clearancing their holiday fabrics. I bought some to make fabric gift bags and I saw a cute Christmas panel for a wall hanging. It was only $2 so into the cart it went.

Well here it is May and I am thinking I should get on that project. I did not have some nice words for past me. I laid it all out on the floor and pinned the layers together.

The pattern is very busy so I am using invisible thread on the top (and black on the back). My machine is not a fan of the invisible thread and I must say I agree with her.

I am sure when it is finished I will enjoy curling up under the lap quilt. I am not using it as a wall hanging. But there is a reason I really do not quilt. After Ii sew the layers together I still have to make binding and then attach it. Mitered corners and I often have naughty words together. hopefully it might be finished by next week. I am quilting about 40 minutes each night after work.
