A New Robe

I did finish the shirt from last week, well almost. I am on the hunt for buttons. I know what I want just need to find them. I really like the back pleat on this shirt.

My husband was impressed with my collar work. I also finished a new robe for myself.

I really should watch all the videos from Katrina at Lifting Pins and Needles. I watched after I finished the robe and she gave me some wonderful ideas that I should have used. The robe is the Compose Robe from Love Notions. This is a great basic robe pattern. I have now made 3 versions of it. The first was in a cotton, the next was in fleece for the winter and now I have a flannel one.

The flannel was a piece I scooped up when Joanns was going out of business. I thought it was a cute print. I had enough to make the robe itself but not the tie belt. Rather than trying to match the green I just made a white tie with flannel I had in my stash.

I know from experience the flannel at Joanns is not of the best quality (it pills) so I am sure I will have an opportunity in a year or so to make another version. Until then this will work quite nicely.
