Day 2 in Boston
The next day we went to the New England Aquarium. Way back in time when I studied in Boston my major was Musuem Education. I volunteered at the Aquarium at least twice a month and I was out on the floor educating visitors in an exhibit that apparently no longer exists (the tidepool) and I also stood on a platform over the Giant Ocean tank that fills the middle of the Aquarium. I spoke about all the sea life in the 4 story Giant Ocean Tank. It was a wonderful experience (though I left Boston after a year and changed majors to history). It was great to revisit a place you spent so many hours at as a young person.
We also walked all around the area near the Aquarium. We soon found ourselves back near the Freedom Trail so decided to finish the walking tour. We stopped and bought tickets to enter the Paul Revere House. It is a very well preserved historical site.
After all the that walking we needed an late lunch/early dinner. We were in north Boston, the traditional Italian section of the city. Stumbled upon a delightful Italian eatery - Ristorante Lucia. It was just what we needed to walk back to the station and catch the subway back to South Boston and our hotel.
