First 2026 FO

I was trying to finish this sweater in 2025 and then just went ahead and finished it in the new year. I think it will be a wonderful way to set the tone for my year of knitting in 2026.

I love the fit of the sweater. The new skill I learned is an Icord bindoff. It is a little time consuming but I love the look. I would make this sweater again, but probably in just a fingering weight, no mohair in between for the stripes. I would also change how I do the raglan sleeves to use M1 left and right instead of YOs.

I really enjoyed the yarn I purchased from Desert Panda Fibers. It was dyed to perfection and nothing untoward in the knitting or winding of the yarn. I used the Rock It Tee pattern by Tanis Fiber Arts. I have quite a few other patterns by the designer in my library and would gladly knit another of her designs. The directions were well written and easy to follow.

Currently the sweater has been washed and is blocking. I will wear it later in the year - great summer knit sweater.
