Fun Friday Activity

Well I am not having a Hot Girl Summer, more like a busy Hot Old Lady Summer. Last Saturday night I meet a friend for dinner and a show. We have a family owned entertainment venue and they were hosting an Elvis tribute artist (Joe Ozzimo) from Australia.

It was a great show and dinner. He of course sang Viva Las Vegas amongst other tunes. We had a great time and I learned the difference between an impersonator and a tribute artist.

Wednesday night two of my friends and I traveled about 40 minutes out of town to the Spring Mountain Ranch Park. This is a state park where the local summer musical theater organization performs.

The scenery is beautiful and the show was fantastic. The performances are held under the stars. We bought a picnic dinner and our own chairs. It is a higher elevation so we even got to put on sweatshirts and snuggle under blankets. This is a big deal when your daily highs in the valley are in the 100s.

We will be going again in September to see another musical. Busy and fun times with friends.
