Last of August Reads

I am sensing a theme. The books that have been on my Kindle for years without being read have their reasons for being ignored - they are not well written or interesting! Some are Kindle free reads and the old saying you get what you pay for is holding true. I abandoned The Secret Life of Pronouns: What Our Words Say About Us by James Pennebaker. I just could not take reading about all the wonderful ideas the author has and how they all turn out so interesting. Could have been an article dude! I tried another book on my Kindle. It was deleted after about 10 pages.

Kindle

The House by the River by Lena Manta. This one is not looking like a keeper either. Older men marrying barely legal age girls is not really a genre I have any interest in reading. The author is a famous Greek novelist. The reviews are not too happy about the book.
