Lucky Penny Wallet
Sallie Tomato has precut kits you can purchase. I bought one to make the Lucky Penny Wallet. (let’s not talk about how long ago that was - keep on moving along friend). In my quest to complete kits I already own I decided to sew this beauty up. Having all the pieces precut made this a relatively easy sew.
The kit included the actual pattern pieces on paper in addition to the flip purse lock and faux leather. It certainly made getting started much easier since I did not have to cut anything.
Like most things in life it did not take long once I got started.

Like most things in life it did not take long once I got started. Honestly the hardest portion was the flip purse lock install. Cutting into the faux leather you had just sewed together was a little scary. The idea to cover the metal portion inside with a piece of cork scrap was very clever.
It turned out quite stylish. I would make another if I had the need. One in cork would be super cute.
