Mid May Reading Report

I finished The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley. It was a hard to classify book. It did contain elements of fantasy but not too much. I also sadly finished The Story of Arthur Trulov by Elizabeth Berg. It was a delightful book and I was sorry to see it come to an end. The bonus was that the audio version was narrated by the author herself.

Kindle Ebook

When the Empire Was Divine by Julie Otsuka. A spare written book regarding a Japanese family sent to Utah during World War II.

Car Audio

Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr. I read a book by the same author and enjoyed his writing style. Not anything with the book itself but the narrator is the same woman who read parts of The Lincoln Highway. It always throws me for a little loop when I hear a reader I have enjoyed before. At first, I have to disassociate the reader voice from the last book.

Ipod Audio

The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Since I am knitting a very simple project I have been able to listen to a little bit more of this book. I am almost 3/4s of the way into the book. I enjoy the book to listen once I get started but it is not my first choice of listening.
