Sewing a bag
I had some material left over from a sewing client and I used it to construct a simple cross body bag. I was especially pleased with the placement of the pattern motif. The pattern called for me to make a strap from the material. I did that with one of the original bags I made with this pattern. Now I just buy cotton webbing for straps and it works just fine.

I often think I should put a magnetic closure in the bag, but honestly the pockets are deep and the flap covers the majority of the front so it is not really needed.
I used other scraps from the same client to construct the inside portion of the bag.

The bag turned out quite nice. It is nice to revisit a pattern you have sewn at least 10 times. As long as you don't get too full of yourself you will not make a mistake.
