Christmas in July Sewing

My sewing plan for July includes sewing up some Christmas gifts. One of the first to be completed is the fleece hats I make for my students. I like to get them all finished before school even begins in August.

I spent one day cutting all the hat portions from the blue paw print fleece. This is the last of this fleece I had in my collection. If I continue to teach next year I am going to have locate a different fleece pattern to use. On the same day I also cut out all the bands needed from white fleece.

This is batch serging at its best. I do have to stop about every 5 hats to clean out the fleece fuzz from the machine. I already have the majority of these complete and ready for gifting. I only have about 2-3 more to finish before this Christmas project can be marked as complete.
