Fair Winner Part 2

I really went all in on cranberries this year in my entries and it paid off big time. I also entered 2 pickled items. The first was pickled slaw. This is delicious on most every item - especially on pork and hamburgers. I think the judge liked it too. It won both the Judge’s Choice and 2nd place ribbon.

The second pickled item was Cowboy Candy, pickled jalapenos. This earned me a Judge’s Choice ribbon. Ironically I have never tasted this item. I am not big on hot spice. Everyone who tested my recipe raved about it so I knew it would do well.

My Cranberry Sweet Tea took 3rd place. This is a delicious beverage. I am glad I canned at least a dozen of this drink. I thought the judge’s comment about needing all my recipes was so sweet to include.

The biggest winner I had was Cranberry Lemonade. It won all the ribbons - Best in Class, Best in Show and Director’s Choice. Again this is a delicious beverage - I canned about a dozen of this one too.

I am so happy to be able to share my canned goods with others. It is nice to think others also enjoy my labors. I mean I think I am pretty good at canning, but it is nice to hear it from others. I am already planning what i will can over the coming year to enter next Spring.
