Friday FO
I have another finished project. I began the Transition Tweed Shawl in Spain when I was visiting our DD who was studying abroad. I picked up the kit to make this at a yarn swap.
I am glad to be finished with the project. I must admit I could not picture it as a shawl until it was complete. Now I see the larger picture. I gave it a bath and have it on the blocking pads. Not sure if this is how it should look but it is a shawl and will be worn around my neck and shoulders so as long as it is shawlish I think it counts.
The pattern was not super well written. I thought it a little skimpy on the directions. I kinda did my own thing. One positive is I am very good now at ML1 and MR1.
The yarn was not a favorite at all. It appeared to be 4-5 very thin strings but not wound together in any manner. This meant it was very splitty. I was worried at one point about playing yarn chicken and it was close. I have 2 grams leftover.
I think this will be one of those projects that was not very enjoyable to knit but will be used very often. I am glad I stuck with the project. It is my largest knit shawl to date. This is the most true to life picture of the colors.
