Fun Around Town - Las Vegas Edition

This will be a bit of a hodgepodge. In the last few weeks before I return to another year of teaching my DH and I have been doing a few fun activities.

A new musuem just opened up in Las Vegas. If you were a boy or knew one in the 1970s you know who Evel Knieval is. In the downtown the Evel Knieval Experience has opened. We spent over 2 hours there looking at all the exhibits and reliving parts of the 1970s. If you are ever in town I highly recommned.

The other fun place we visited was the Pinball Hall of Fame. This is on the Strip itself almost directly across from the iconic, Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Admission is free but bring your quarters! (Actually they have plenty of coin exchange machines). All the best games from the arcade are there as well as machines from the 1960s and 1970s. It is a fun place to bring kids and adults. Who has not played a pinball machine at least once in their life.

We managed to do both of these activities and then make it home in time for lunch. Just two fun activities that do not involve gambling in Las Vegas. There is quite a few things to do in Vegas that do not have anything to do with the casinos or gambling.
