Important Events of Loved Ones

I believe the majority of my readers have lost at least one important person in their life so will totally understand. Today would have been my father’s 89th birthday. I always loved sharing a birthday month with my father. Our birthdays are actually just 8 days apart.

The firsts without your loved one are always the hardest. This is the first “big event” since his death 6 months ago. His remains are actually being placed with his parents today.

I have thought numerous times over the past week or so, remember to send a card and present. Then it hits you that is no longer needed.

My siblings and I are in the process of arranging a memorial scholarship at the school district where both of my parents taught. This is a lot of paperwork, but I think a great way to honor their legacy.
