New Pattern = New Blouse
Sinclair Patterns just released a new woven top pattern, the Plaza. Those of you following along know my love of all Sinclair Patterns because of the petite option. The small details in this blouse elevate it to more than a plain shirt.
The hardest part of this pattern was the back yoke. It took 3 tries before I could pin it correctly so the inner yoke was not on the outside. This is where basting becomes your friend. Pin, baste, look at it, maybe say some not nice words and repeat until it is correct.
The back yoke is enclosed which meant I got to do a burrito roll. This also sometimes gives me a little trouble. Again basting to the rescue. After I baste the pieces together and do a quick fit check I then run the seam through the serger.
I have no idea where I got this fabric - my guess would be Joanns. It drapes very well which was needed for this pattern. It is some kind of poly rayon blend.
I simply serged the edges of the hem and the sleeves and turned over for a slim hem.
