Onto Boston with the travel log (Hacia Boston con el diario de viaje)

The family stayed 3 days in NYC before traveling onto Boston. I lived in Boston during my first year of college. (I ended up transferring after Freshman year and moving to Philadelphia). I have not been back since I moved away in college. We took the train from NYC to Boston - again not much knitting accomplished because of the stunning scenery.

We booked a hotel in South Boston - I was not a Southie when I lived there so it was nice to explore another section of the city. After we had checked into the hotel we took the subway to Boston Common and walked about 1/2 of the Freedom Trail.

We woke up bright and early the next morning to get to Fenway Park. We had booked a tour of the stadium. We like to listen to baseball games on the radio, but are not die hard Sox fans. It was an excellent tour.

We sat in some of the orginal seats from 1934. Honestly some of the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in at a stadium. We were not able to go onto the field (they were setting up for an evening concert).

To lessen the sting they brought out the 4 World Series trophies they have. We were allowed to walk right up to them and take as many pictures as we wanted they just asked us not to touch them.

We did more walking around the city. I loved living in walkable cities like NYC and Boston. Las Vegas is not a walkable city - too modern (and currently way too hot).
