Procrastinator, Not A Quitter (Procrastinador, no un desertor)

The quilt, always the quilt. Honestly this project has caused me to lose some of my sewing mojo. My momma didn’t raise a quitter, but maybe a procrastinator on this project.

La colcha, siempre la colcha. Sinceramente, este proyecto me ha hecho perder parte de mi magia para coser. Mi madre no crio a una persona que se rindiera, sino a una que procrastinaba en este proyecto.

Quilting is just not my thing, it does not bring me much joy. In fact it kind of sucks the life out of the sewing and I heartily dislike a 1/4 inch seam. All that being said I have made progress on the beast. I have all the animals, etc. outlined in thread.

It might also be taking so long since I decided I want to do outlining on the animals and not just a straight quilting job. Future me will be happy I made this decision but current me is questioning my sanity at the moment. You can see all the wavy paths (barely) on the back in this picture.

The only front portion I have left is straight stitching the “frame” portion of the panel. Of course there is still the binding to make and sew on but maybe this will be finished before 2026.
