Reading Report mid July (Informe de lectura de mediados de julio)

I would not say this my favorite of the many books I have read from this author’s body of work, but The Mighty Red by Louise Erdrich is complete.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. This is not usually a genre for me, science fiction, but it got great reviews when published. It was also made into a movie (something I did realize until my DH told me). I make it a point not to see movies of books I have read - they always disappoint as a reader. It is actually well written and full of 1980s references which I get:)

Ready Player One de Ernest Cline. No suelo leer ciencia ficción, pero recibió muy buenas críticas cuando se publicó. Incluso se convirtió en película (algo que me di cuenta hasta que mi marido me lo contó). Me aseguro de no ver películas de los libros que he leído; siempre decepcionan. La verdad es que está muy bien escrito y lleno de referencias a los 80, lo cual entiendo :)

Audio Book

American Spy by Lauren Wilkerson. This continues to be an enjoyable listen. The main characters are African American and it concerns spying in African nations. Not only well written but a topic not often addressed.

Espía Americana de Lauren Wilkerson. Sigue siendo una lectura entretenida. Los personajes principales son afroamericanos y trata sobre espionaje en países africanos. No solo está bien escrito, sino que es un tema poco abordado.
