Sewing Stats for 2025

I took a trip down memory lane to look at all the items I posted about and sewed this year. 3 items on the list were not actually posted about due to the gifting nature of the sew. I estimate I sewed about 45 items this year. This does not include the repair sewing I did on various items. I guess you could say I sew alot.

I did find it interesting what I do not do which is sew the same thing very often. There were only about 8 patterns I sewed twice this year. Also in all that sewing I only detested 3 items. I finished each of these items but 2 were actually never worn in public. 1 I did wear in public but I was not comfortable with the fit (even though others complimented the look on me). I donated it to the charity shop and hopefully some one else will enjoy wearing it.

I sew a vast array of items, bags (9), dresses (5), tops (11), gifts, pants (6) to name just a few.

I was interested in trying to estimate how much fabric I used in all this sewing. I did not actually keep track of the yardage used in each project but estimated. By my estimation I sewed about 53 yards of fabric in various weights from knits, flannels, cotton and fleece.

Maybe this year I will try to keep better notes, but it was fun to go back though the posts from the year to review all the makes.
