TNT Tuesday Big Finish

Back in June of 2024 I decided I was going to finish a very old crosstitch WIP. This WIP held special significance. I had begun this piece for my mother in 2000. A few months after I began the piece my mother passed away. Like many things that year it was packed away as a painful reminder of all I had lost when I lost my mother. Over the years I would try to pull it out but the memories were too strong and it is hard to stitch while crying.

This is what it looked like when I made the decision to honor her memory and finish the piece.

I set a goal of an hour a week to work on the piece. It has taken me almost two years but I have finally finished and framed the piece. I did not add the name piece to the finished product.

I am so happy to be finished. It was hard to work on it in the beginning but became easier as time passed.
