Travel log

As I mentioned we took a Spring Break trip to visit our DD in Spain. We had a wonderful trip. I booked us a week in a Vintage Chic apartment on Airbnb - it was perfect and exactly as described. We had a kitchen and even a washing machine.

No dryer but I love hanging clothes outside to dry in fresh air. Out apartment was exactly 16 steps (according to DH) to a supermarket where we could pick up whatever we needed in the food department. Our DD was so excited for someone else to cook for her - she said it was so nice to have someone wait on her. Yep, that is something you don’t often get as an adult.

We spent the week taking relaxing walks around the city and enjoying some of the stunning views.

We did go out to eat a few nights. In Spain they really do not open any restuarants until 8 pm and they usually arrive to eat dinner between 9-10 pm. One night we had the most delicious paella and of course a glass of Sangria.

We saw the oldest church in Alicante, the Basilica of St. Mary. The town is very hilly with lots of staircases to traverse.

Mostly we just spent time with our baby. She returns from her program in a about a month and a half. It was a perfect vacation.
