Christmas School Sewing Complete

I had made the fleece hats I gift each student over the summer. Well it appears i cannot count very well because in checking on how many I had a few weeks ago I realized I needed more. I only had 17 completed hats, but 22 students. This is a bit of big math for kindergarten but even I could figure out I did not have enough.

I had more of the fleece I basically bought out Joanns of two years ago. I cut out 6 more hats (just to be sure I would have enough). When I went to look in the collection for white fleece to make the brim realized I needed to make a trip to a fabric store. Mission was accomplished and I cut out the brims. All that remained was sewing everything together.

This step took the longest because I kept sewing other things. This weekend I finally settled down and sewed the last 6 hats. I pair each hat with a book for a sweet holiday gift for each student in my room.

The hats always turn out adorable and my students look even cuter than normal when they all get their hats and put them on. These are gifted on the last day of school before Winter break. I cannot believe I am done with this project and we still have two more weeks of school left. Bonus this was one of my December goals. Only a few days into the month and I have already nailed one of my goals.
