Week 29 of YOP15

Our DD left for her study abroad program this week. The house is very quiet. Good thing I have hobbies to pass the time. Nuestra hija se fue esta semana a su programa de estudios en el extranjero. La casa está muy silenciosa. Menos mal que tengo aficiones para pasar el tiempo.

Knitting Plans/Goals (Planes/Objetivos de tejido)

January goals Metas de enero: work Old Vine project, finish a charity knit for the month, cast on a pair of socks, cast on a new sweater.

Trabajar en el proyecto Old Vine, terminar un tejido benéfico del mes, empezar a tejer un par de calcetines, empezar a tejer un suéter nuevo.

Progress: The sweater has only a few more inches of knitting before I can begin the ribbing. I did another try on this week and it looks stunning.

Progreso: Solo me quedan unos pocos centímetros de tejido antes de poder empezar con el remate del suéter. Esta semana me lo probé de nuevo y queda espectacular.

Sewing Plans/Goals Planes/Objetivos de costura

January goal Metas de enero: After reviewing my 2025 sewing I realized I should make more than one try of a pattern. Therefore this month will be all about the Made for Mermaids Winnie pants. I will make a sample and then try a few more pairs. I want to try different weight knit fabrics and different pant widths and waistband options.

Después de revisar mis proyectos de costura de 2025, me di cuenta de que debería probar un patrón más de una vez. Por lo tanto, este mes me dedicaré por completo a los pantalones Winnie de Made for Mermaids. Haré una muestra y luego coseré algunos pares más. Progress: I made another version of the Winnie pants in a French Terry. I could seriously live in these pants! I made a pair of shorts to check the fit and then we were off to the races.

January goal Metas de enero: Complete at least 4 hours of crosstitch during the month. Completa al menos 4 horas de punto de cruz durante el mes.

Progress: This week was mostly browns of varying hard to see colors. Progreso: Esta semana predominaron los tonos marrones de diferentes intensidades, difíciles de distinguir.

Crochet Plans/Goals Planes/Objetivos de crochet

January goals Metas de enero: Complete the two handles needed and decide on whether it needs a zipper closure or not. My goal is to finish this project this month.

Progress: I have begun the second strap and have already completed a grand total of 4 inches, only 20 more to go. Progreso: He comenzado la segunda correa y ya he completado un total de 4 pulgadas, solo me quedan 20 más.
