Sourdough Goodies

Yes, it has happened I have joined the sourdough craze. My first attempt to begin was a complete failure. I had to start over and then my DH wanted to help. With his help we now have an active sourdough baby.

If you have done sourdough you know all about the discard. My DH had been making bread and pancakes. I decided my first attempt would be English muffins. I have made English muffins that are not sourdough based in the past. Homemade English muffins are delicious!

One other nice thing is that they are cooked in a pan not in the oven. I know many of you are hoping to heat up the house by using your oven more than usual, but here in the desert southwest we are currently have 70 degree days so no oven heat needed. The recipe made about 16 and it is currently just Hubby and I at home so over half were sealed in vacuum bags to be placed in the freezer for longer term storage.

Not quite all the nooks and crannies, but just super yummy covered in homemade jam.
