Time for the end of the month check in.
Knitting Plans/Goals
October Goals: I doubt I will finish my Knitmas scarf, but there are always miracles. This thing is a lot of stitches. Complete the pair of Halloween socks for my DD. Finish the hat I cast on last month for charity. Keep working on the shawl. This is another “will I ever finish this thing” kinda project. Finish the second sleeve on the Father’s Day sweater.
Results: The Knitmas shawl pretty much saw nothing worked on it this month. It might be the one I prioritize to get off the needles next month. I have finished the first of the pair of Halloween socks. I cast on the second sock but it will be visiting frog pond since I did not have enough light with black yarn to do the cuff. It is a mess. The Father’s Day sweater got finished sleeves but not much else. I am very close on the charity hat. It will be finished by the end of the month. The biggest “surprise” is that I finished another shawl which did not even make it to the project list for October.
Sewing Plans/Goals
October Goals: I am out of ideas for monthly challenges in the sewing realm. I think this month I will just sew as the feeling takes me.
Results: I am going back to try patterns I purchased but have never sewn (let’s not talk about how many of those I have:(. I finished a quilt top and a blouse. Less sewing this month - it seems like October is a busy month for me.
Embroidery/Cross Stitch Plans/Goals
October Goals: Continue with my hour a week plan
Result: The light saga has ended and I have a head lamp that works well for me. This month saw me deciding to wing it for many stitches and colors. The directions are a lot on the skimpy side.
Crochet Plans/Goals
October Goals: Begin a new crochet project, that is yet to be determined.
Result: I finished the scrubbie cloth. I will soon start another in the same shocking colorway.
